Chair Massage originated in California, is a preventative and corrective style of massage, not unlike table massage. Chair massage allows the client to remain clothed, and receive a brief session of stress and tension relief through the same modalities used in the Swedish Massage.
Swedish Massage is a form of Traditional Western Massage which incorporates five classic techniques. The five categories of Swedish Massage are the focus of soft tissue manipulation, they are effleurage (stroking/ sliding), petressage (kneading/ compression), tapotement (percussion), friction and vibration.
Myofascial Massage focuses on softening or freeing connective or myofascial tissue that surround muscles, nerve, blood vessels and all organs of the body. Restriction in fascial tissue can cause a variety of dysfunctions, including limb immobility, posture distortions, poor cellular nutrition and pain.
Sports Massage/ Orthopedic Massage is applied to enhance athletic performance, prevent injuries, prepare for and recover from competition and rehablitation of injuries.
Shoulder, Neck & Scalp Massage aids in relieving the pressure from headaches (tension, sinus, migraine).
Burn Scar Therapy typically incorporates Myofascial techniques to include circular and crossfiber friction to aid in breaking up as much of the scar adhesion as possible (formed from burns healing erratically) following the direction of the scar tissue.
